WHO WE ARE

Wild Catch is a company based in Kenya providing Quality Seafood at affordable prices.

All our sea food is caught by small scale skilful fishermen using net and line technique who’s lively hood is key to our business and also in maintaining a healthy Sea Life. At Wild Catch WE DO NOT SUPPORT COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL FISHING METHODS.

Wild catch is a family owned business, we are passionate in our field and especially in providing quality seafood. All our fish and seafood are cleaned and packed by respecting and maintaining hygiene and the cold chain until your door step. Our mentor is not to compromise on quality therefore we are very attentive to the seasonal calendar of what will be available in the Indian Ocean and we try to educate our clients about the same.

Currently our business is wholly based online and having more than 300 clients to whom we cater for on a weekly basis. We currently bring fish once a week and inform our clients via our Social Media platforms such as Instagram or “Whats app” on the next day arrival. Our clients then place their orders and we deliver via dedicated riders in our marine grade cooler boxes the same day.

As an online company, we also send a e-invoice on what’s app to our clients. All our payments are then made via our “Mpesa Till” number.

Our clients have always appreciated the personal service we provide and we are also always happy to recommend and give recipes according to the fish.

The Indian Ocean and weather pattern along the Kenyan coast.

The Indian ocean is the Third largest of the worlds oceanic divisions, covering over 70 million kilometers square.

Its bounded by ASIA to the north, AFRICA to the west and AUSTRALIA to the east.

Along its core, the indian ocean has some large regional seas such as the Arabian Sea, the Somali Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

Its climate is unique as it constitutes the core of the large scale Tropical Warm Pool and making it the warmest Ocean in the world.

The Asian continent drives the Indian Ocean monsoon, the strongest on Earth, which causes large scale seasonal variations in the ocean currents, hence creating a seasonal fish cycle.

The wind cycles experienced on the Kenyan coast are the Kaskazi winds and the Kuzi winds. The Kaskazi winds are during the warmer to hotter months from November to middle of May, which make the ocean rich in sea life. While the Kuzi winds are from June to October mainly making the sea life hibernate due to the cooler temperatures.

As Wild Catch we strive to support our customer needs during the cooler months as 75% of the fish species and crustacean species are not available.

However we do advise our customers in advance to allow them to prepare for their sea food stock.

Our door to door service:

As a company we strive to provide on time delivery of our products to our customers in the shortest time available.

We engage well trained and experienced riders that are contracted by our company and also at peak schedules we also make use of the online delivery companies.

We make sure all our fish and sea food are packed elegantly and are water tight and finally placed in our marine grade coolers for delivery to our clients.

Our Packaging

We strive as a company to make sure that all our packaging is to our customers satisfaction. We also arduously respect and maintain the cold chain thus making our packing chilled, frozen and water compatible.

Introducing our Smoked fish menu

Wild Catch Smoked fish menu is our latest addition, in order to give our clients 100% wild caught and sustainable smoked fish, we select fish that are in season and smoke them in-house.

Our smoked fish can be enjoyed as a carpaccio, on toast or sandwich or cooked in a fish pie or quiche.
